Terms
These are the terms for reading Arcana Mentis. They're short, and they describe the site as it actually is.
Think of them as the ground rules for reading here. Nothing on the site is for sale, and there's no account to sign up for.
Agreement
By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please leave the site. You don't need an account to read, and we won't ask you to tick a box we don't have.
Educational content
Arcana Mentis offers education about caring for your own mind. Nothing on it is medical, psychiatric, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and the site isn't a clinic. We don't diagnose anyone, we don't offer treatment, and we don't promise a cure.
Mental health and crisis
Pages about depression, loneliness, and related subjects are educational. They're meant to go alongside care and can't substitute for it. Never stop a prescribed medicine, including a prescribed antidepressant, because of something you read on this site, and talk with a clinician about any change in care. Those pages haven't had a medical review, so please don't treat them as if they had.
If you're in crisis in the United States, call or text 988, or go to 988lifeline.org. Please don't use the contact page as an emergency line, because it can't answer one. There's no public inbox yet, and a web page can't do what a person on the phone can.
Manifestation, hypnosis, meditation, and mind control
Nothing on this site guarantees a result. Manifestation, as Arcana Mentis uses the word, involves no magic and promises no income or supernatural outcome. Hypnosis and mind control here are for yourself only, and we never teach anyone how to control, persuade, manipulate, or hypnotize another person. Meditation isn't a cure. If a practice makes your distress worse, stop it and seek care.
Shop
The shop may show a catalog preview, but nothing is for sale yet and there's no checkout. Any price you see is a plan, and you can't accept it as an offer. When a shop actually opens, purchase terms will be added to this page before you're asked to buy anything.
Intellectual property
The writing and design of this site are © Arcana Mentis. Please don't republish whole essays without permission. You're welcome to read for your own sake and to print a page for your own use. A short quotation with credit and a link back is a neighborly thing to do. Copying a room and presenting it as your own work isn't allowed.
No warranties and limitation
The site is offered “as is.” We don't warrant that any page is complete, current, or suited to your particular situation. A page can be worth reading and still be the wrong tool for a day when you need a clinician.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. We'll name a particular state once one is chosen, and until then this is a general United States placeholder. We aren't stating a state of incorporation or giving a street address, because we won't invent either one.
To the extent the law allows, Arcana Mentis isn't liable for loss or harm that comes from relying on these pages instead of professional care, or from using the site at all. Some places don't allow certain limits, and where that's the case, the limit applies only as far as the law permits.
Changes
We may update these terms, and the new version will be posted on this page. If you keep using the site after it's posted, you accept the updated terms. If you don't accept them, please stop using the site.
Last updated: 3 October 2026.
Contact
Questions about these terms go to the contact page. There's no public inbox yet, so for now there's nowhere to send a letter. Once an address is posted there, terms questions will go to it. This page can't put you in touch with anyone in an emergency.
