If you’re new here

If you've just found this site, here's a short map. You don't have to read it all tonight.

Maybe the evenings are longer and stiller than they used to be, or you've been talking yourself through a low stretch for a while now. You'd like some warmth and clear answers, and you'd like to be treated like a grown-up while you get them. You don't need to be cheerful, and you don't need to buy anything.

You might be new in town, or your week feels thin, or you have questions about your care. The paths below work for all of those, and the same rules apply to everyone.

Pick the path that sounds closest to how you feel, open one room, and stop whenever you've had enough.

Four ways in

  • If you’re lonely

This path is for long evenings, or for a life with fewer voices in it than you wanted.

It points you to the loneliness room, a few pages about situations you may recognize, and where to find help from a real person.

  • If you’re low

This path offers education that goes alongside care from your doctor.

Start with the care note at the top. Keep taking any prescribed antidepressant as prescribed, and talk with your doctor before changing anything. These pages haven't had a medical review yet.

  • If you want your mornings back

This path covers fog, memory, and days that have lost their timetable.

If a change in your memory or your mornings came on suddenly, talk with a doctor. The path leads to brain optimization and to getting your life back.

  • If you’re curious about the mind

This path is about your own mind: your attention, a chair, and practices you do for yourself.

Mind control here means caring for your own thoughts. Meditation and self-hypnosis are practices you do on your own, and none of them is a cure.

How to use a path

  1. Read the care note at the top of the page first.
  2. Open the room it names. You can save the long essay for another day.
  3. If one situation sounds like your week, open that page. One page is plenty.
  4. If you need a person instead of a page, use the help it lists. In the United States, call or text 988.
